Accessibility (WCAG)

Accessible websites and apps that work for everyone, with keyboard, screen reader or zoom, and meet WCAG and the European Accessibility Act.

Based in Hamburg, Germany, working remotely with clients across Germany and abroad, in German or English.

Request an AI summary

About one in four adults in the EU lives with some form of disability, and many more use a site with one hand, in bright sunlight or with tired eyes. Accessibility makes sure all of them can use your website. Since June 2025, the European Accessibility Act also makes it a legal requirement for many online shops and services in the EU.

Standard: WCAG level AA

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) at level AA are what laws and contracts usually refer to. What they require in practice, who the European Accessibility Act applies to and why overlay widgets don’t solve it is explained in The European Accessibility Act.

Scope: what’s included

  • Audit: automated checks plus manual testing with keyboard and screen reader, with a prioritised list of issues.
  • Fixes: in design and code, from colours and focus styles to forms and dialogs.
  • New builds: accessibility from the first wireframe, instead of retrofitting it later.

Bonus: better for everyone

Accessible sites are clearer for all users, are read better by search engines and AI systems, and hold up better on new devices. Accessibility is part of every site I build, not an add-on.

Result: what you get

A website that more people can use, built to WCAG level AA, and a report that shows where it stands.
